| Training a slave |
I beleive that the phrase "slave training" is misunderstood by most Masters and slaves. What does "training a slave" mean?
Does it mean that a Master trains a slave to perform certain tasks that a Master wants the slave to do? That is
not training a slave. Does it mean that a Master trains a slave to behave a certain way? No, that is not slave
training either. Does it mean that a Master teaches a slave how to take His BDSM practices or His sexual proclivities?
No, that is not slave training either. Well, if those things aren't training a slave then what is?
The definition of the word training is as follows:
"1 a : the teaching, drill, or discipline by which powers of mind or body are developed : b (1) : the regimen of exercise, diet, and practice undergone by an athlete (2) : a pitch of proficiency developed by an athlete's regimen c : development of a particular skill or group of skills : instruction in an art, profession, or occupation 2 : the control of plants, vines, or young trees so that they will grow in a desired shape or direction." Webster's Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged 2011First and foremost a Master is a teacher. He must be able to communicate clearly to a slave. Now, a Master can communicate in many different ways. He could merely give the slave a stern look of disapproval. He could raise His voice or he could use some corporeal punishment on the slave. He does not necessarily have to be very loquatious or a good verbal communicator, although it helps a great deal. Read over that definition again. It mentions teaching, the drill, discipline, regimen, exercise, diet, practice, development, instruction, skills, and control. But, the most important part of the entire definition is that all of these things are for the purpose of developing the powers of the mind and body. So, You, the Master: What are the powers of the slave's mind and body in its condition as your new slave? If You do not have a clue then how will You what to direct the slave to develop? Will You order the slave to do something that it is incapable of doing? How will You know where to begin and how to teach the slave? How will You know what to begin teaching the slave? Is it by some magical operation of osmosis that You already know what to do? A Master seeking a slave in this era will have a difficult time. Not because there are no slaves available but becuase the slaves that are available are not likely to have any real idea of what it is like serving a "real" Master. (Of course, this also rings true for slaves being able to find a "real" Master). The most important facet of a slave's personality or character is that he must be willing to surrender...everything...eventually. Ocassionally, a Master gets lucky. But what makes a slave want to surrender to a Master? It is without question the most difficult thing for a human to do...surrender; especially in this day and age. The true slave, IF he finds a real Master, will need time to learn about serving his new Master in a new home. So back to the original topic; training. How does a Master direct a slave to be useful to Him? What methods does a Master use to teach a slave? What is the formula for developing the powers of the slave's mind and body?
